Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the interrelation of the main variablesaffecting technology intelligence management to design an appropriate model of hightechnologies intelligence management at national level organisations. Based on a literaturereview, a conceptual model was developed. It includes 11 main variables classified into threelevels: the operational, managerial, and environmental levels. Participants in the presentresearch included 160 experts in technology intelligence from Iranian universities and industry,137 of whom completed the research questionnaire. Research information and hypotheses wereanalysed and tested using structural equation modeling, SPSS, and LISREL software. Thefindings show that to properly manage a technology intelligence system in high technologies atnational level organisations, attention to the managerial and operational levels is moreimportant than environmental factors. It also shows that to establish technology intelligence inorganisations, managers should pay more attention to these factors to gain confidence in theeffectiveness of the implementation of this system.
